SCP Facility Experience Play as an SCP
Swap sides: hunt survivors as SCP-035 or SCP-049-2 with smart specials and breach timing.
Becoming the breach
Most of your hours in SCP Facility Experience may be spent as human staff surviving alarms—but the fantasy flips when you play as an SCP. As of current studio messaging, highlighted playable anomalies include SCP-035 (the Possessive Mask) and SCP-049-2 (plague-doctor offspring / infected pressure), with more playable SCPs coming from K.M.T Studio / @yolorexthe_best.
This guide focuses on hunter fundamentals that transfer between kits: positioning, special attack timing (F / Y), blackout abuse, and reading survivor mistakes. Deep lore-and-kit pages live under Players; threat context lives on the SCP Tier List.
How to get into an SCP role
Exact queue/unlock flows can shift with patches—always defer to the live UI. In practice:
- Launch the official Roblox place.
- Look for SCP selection, game-mode toggles, or unlock requirements tied to progression/cash.
- Confirm you spawned with SCP abilities (special attack respond to
F/Y). - Spend thirty seconds in a quiet area testing movement and special VFX before diving a crowded hub.
If you cannot select an SCP yet, keep earning through exploration, codes, and co-op bonuses, then recheck after updates.
Universal hunter controls
From the Controls table:
| Action | PC | Console |
|---|---|---|
| SCP special attack | F | Y |
| Interact (if available to kit) | E | X |
| Close menus | X | B |
Survivors still use blink/NV—you should know those binds so you can predict them. When humans stagger blinks near 173 elsewhere on the map, you are free to pressure softer targets; when they NV-tunnel down a hallway, you flank.
SCP-035 — possession and mind-game pressure
Fantasy: the mask that wears people back. As a playable kit, 035 rewards players who think like a lurker-controller: cut off escapes, force clumps, and spend specials when survivors think they are safe.
Tips:
- Open fights by isolating one player who lagged behind for loot.
- Save
F/Yfor moments after a dodge or when two survivors overlap in a doorway. - Use blackouts to erase silhouette reads; approach from unlit spurs.
- Deny rally points—if humans love a lit hub, arrive from the second entrance.
- Remember survivors may try to “play around mask myths”; unpredictable pathing beats repeating the same jump-scare corner.

SCP-049-2 — relentless chase pressure
Fantasy: infected / reanimated extension of plague-doctor horror. 049-2 tends to feel more straightforwardly aggressive than 035’s psychological kit: keep moving, punish separations, and collapse on sound.
Tips:
- Force survivors to choose between looting and staying stacked.
- Special attack into groups fleeing through chokepoints.
- During breaches, ignore the best-geared MTF hero if a soft target is cut off—farm pressure, then rotate.
- Do not tunnel a single bunny-hopper across the entire map while objectives finish elsewhere; threaten the objective.
- If humans NV-pulse, attack during their dark intervals when they toggle off.

Special attack timing (F / Y)
Good specials are spendable resources, not panic buttons:
- Confirm target density — one isolated survivor may only need basics; clumps deserve specials.
- Watch endlag — swinging into empty air during recovery lets humans reload and reposition.
- Combo with map hazards — corner them toward known dangerous wings (173/096 adjacency) so even a missed special creates bad choices.
- Reset after whiffs — break line of sight, reapproach from a new vector.
Patches can retune damage and cooldowns; do a one-minute range test after big updates.
Hunting during breaches and blackouts
Playable SCPs are strongest when the facility already failed:
- Breach start: survivors greed one more interact—punish lingerers.
- Mid-breach: split squads trying to hit two objectives; pick the quieter pair.
- Blackout: hug walls, avoid backlit doorways, strike when NV cones face the wrong way.
- Recontainment phase: defend critical buttons; forcing humans to fight on the objective is easier than open-field duels.
You are part of the facility’s immune response. Play the objective, not only the K/D fantasy.
Counterplay you must respect
Humans who read our survivor guides will:
- Stagger blinks and keep lookers (even if you are not 173, disciplined teams move better).
- Call your silhouette early.
- Avoid face-checking other hazards while fleeing you—meaning they may path through “safe” lit rooms; pre-aim those routes.
- Close menus and keep guns ready—ambushing AFK code redeemers works once, then they learn (How to Redeem exists for a reason).
If every lobby suddenly counters you, vary timing; do not blame “broken humans.”
Fair-play and script warning
Kill auras and speed hacks ruin both sides. Public scripts for this title are scarce and risky—see Scripts. Getting banned mid-event while Halloween rewards are live is a poor trade. Win with pathing and specials.
Practice plan
- One match as survivor focusing on how you hate to die.
- One match as 035 practicing doorway specials.
- One match as 049-2 practicing objective denial.
- Review the tier list playable ranks.
- Note feedback ideas for Yolorex via the in-game Feedback button if a bind feels broken.
